Lee is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan. He was awarded a Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2011 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with Great Distinction in 2009. He received the Craven SPORT Services Sport Physiotherapy Award, presented to the graduating student with the highest academic achievement in foundational and clinical science courses related to sport physiotherapy (2011); the University of Saskatchewan School of Physical Therapy Award for Top Research Project (2011); the Barry Karst Memorial Scholarship from the Prairie Junior Hockey League (2009); and the Saskatchewan Physical Education Association Scholarship (2005). Lee is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
